Gaston Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic
The animal league of gaston county, is proud to announce the
opening of the Gaston Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic,
972 E. Franklin Boulevard in Gastonia, North Carolina.
Surgery is performed 2 days weekly, Volunteers are at the
clinic from 11 am - 2 pm daily (except Sundays) to take
appointments and answer questions.

Since July the clinic has performed 1,575 surgeries (742 dogs and 833 cats) of those, 898 were females. The clinc crew is working smoothly and efficiently. Clinic staff will be attending training at the Humane Alliance in Asheville. We are hoping to break 3,000 surgeries in 2010

Gaston Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Gaston Chamber of Commerce along with attendees watched as Terry Kenny cut the red ribbon to officially open the clinics doors.
It was a beautiful day for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Attendees enjoyed, food and drink and toured the clinic. Many commented on how wonderful the clinic looked. All were excited about being able to reach out to the community and help to get animals spayed and neutered. |

Rescued Dogs Need Your Help!
Jasper and Billy G are two found dogs that are requiring more financial resources than the usual rescue dog. Billy G is a shih tzu found wandering in a parking lot, looking for scraps of food. He clearly had been neglected for several years (per the vet). He suffers from a systemic skin infection (yeast) that has rendered him nearly hairless from head to toe and had nails up to two inches long.
