Please read the following carefully BEFORE completing the form.

Before the algc can help you Become a temporary foster home:

The animal must have a Heartworm test for dogs and a Feline Leukemia and FIV test for cats completed by a veterinarian at the Temporary Foster homes own expense.

It is also recommended that a veterinarian, at the expense of the Temporary Foster Home, give the animal a physical exam.

If the Temporary Foster Home would like to get the animal’s vaccines, then algc recommends Rabies, DHLPP and Bordetella for dogs. Rabies, FVRCP for Cats. The algc is not responsible for any financial expenses.

Temporary Foster Homes must understand algc does not have any legal or financial responsibility of the animal that was found.

If the Temporary Foster home can no longer keep the animal, algc is not responsible for placing the animal.

Algc will not financially support any medical cost while the animal is in a Temporary Foster Home.

Algc will not financially support boarding or grooming costs on the animal in a Temporary Foster Home.

If the Temporary Foster Home finds other alternatives for the animal, please contact algc to delete the animal from the adoption list.

If the animal is adopted through the algc, following all rules and procedures, medical expenses for vaccines, Heartworm testing, Feline Leukemia and HIV tests and /or spay-neuter expenses could be reimbursed to the Temporary Foster Home for up to but not exceeding the adoption fee of $85 for dogs and for cats.
